Basic Scripture: ‘‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; the LORD has done this, and it is marvellous in our eyes. ’’ (Psalm 118:22-23)
Falilat Ogunkoya Osheku, the first female to win an Olympic medal for Nigeria, once said that it was a twist of fate that she ended up being an athlete in the first place. According to her, she was a preterm baby and as such, she spent three months in the incubator. Her parents thought that she wouldn’t survive. She grew tiny and nobody noticed her. Today, everywhere she goes, she is not only noticed, she is honored and venerated in world sport.
I want to encourage you to be patient and let it be established in your heart that no matter what you are going through now, your future will surprise men. Never use your mental picture to determine your actual future.
If a tiny, forsaken girl could survive to become a world star, then your future cannot be ransomed by negative circumstances or evil powers of the adversely. Those who reject and despise you will one day announce you.
Food For Thought: What you are going through now has nothing to do with your great future.
